Ultrasound energy and focused ultrasound technology are used in a non-invasive therapeutic approach to treat neurological disorders. However, the distortion of ultrasound waves caused by the shape of patients' skulls has limited its use. A research team has developed an acoustic simulation technology based on generative AI to predict and correct this distortion in real time. The technology reduces computational time and increases the possibility of clinical application. A medical image-based navigation system was also developed to provide real-time acoustic simulations during focused ultrasound therapy.
