Jadav Molai Peyang planted 20 bamboo plant plantlets. In 1979 the local social forestry department began social afforestation project on 200 hectares of land. As a result of his continuous work at planting and caring for the trees, the barren area witnessed the forest cover over 360 acres. He works hard for 30 years and he had been awarded the prestigious Padma Shri Award by the government of India for this and parallel work. Now it is well known as the Molai jungle.
